What Clients Should Know
1. Discovery Call Clients schedule a discovery call to discuss their needs in detail (beyond FAQ). A brief case summary must be entered in the notes section at checkout to help prepare for the call.
2. Intake Consultation Fees Each parent is required to pay the initial consultation intake fee. Services cannot move forward until both parents have/are paid. This ensures all parties receive the same information and helps avoid delays. *Please consult with attorney, review court order, abd/or discuss agreenment with other parent to assess the financial responsibility of obtaining supervised visitation services.
3. Consultation Invitations Once both parents’ payments are received, consultation invitations are sent.Timely payment allows services to move ahead on schedule.
4. Consultation & Case Alignment Expectations, court orders (if applicable), visitation structure, and communication guidelines are reviewed. This step ensures clarity, neutrality, and alignment before visits begin.
5. Visit Scheduling Visit dates, times, and approved locations are coordinated.Scheduling is based on availability, structure, and appropriateness of the environment.
6. Payment for VisitsInvoices are issued upon request.Payment is due at the time of request to secure the visit.
7. Supervised Visits Parent and child participate in structured, off-site supervised visits.Visits occur in safe, neutral, kid-friendly environments with a supervisor present throughout. Monthly Visit Scheduling (Optional) Parents may pre-schedule visits monthly.Monthly scheduling offers cost savings for multiple visits.
8. Documentation & Reporting Observation documentation is completed following visits. Additional reports may be provided when required by attorneys or court order, based on service scope.
9. In-Home Visit ConsiderationIn-home supervised visits may be considered after successful off-site visits.Requires three (3) successful off-site visits, review of relevant documentation, and a home safety evaluation. Approval is discretionary and not guaranteed.
10. Visit Requests Parents submit visit requests in advance via email at info@thechildrensadvocate.com only. Requests recommended to be made one week in advance or by Wednesday for weekend visits. Visit days and times are never guaranteed unless visits have been booked 30 days in advance.
Supervised visitation services begin with the parents' intake forms and initial consultations. Both parents (or parent whom is responsible) are required to complete intake payment to ensure transparency and timely scheduling. Once intake is complete, consultation invitations and next steps will be provided.
Please wait until you have received the "Next Steps" email as confirmation that both parties have submitted required intake forms. We cannot proceed forward without both intake forms. Then, you will receive the "Next Steps" email. Please proceed to steps 2-3 at that time.
