Supervised Visitation Overview

Introduction

The Children’s Advocate, LLC provides child-centered supervised visitation services for families navigating custody transitions, reunification, and other circumstances requiring structured parent-child contact. Since 2017, TCA has coordinated neutral, safety-focused, and well-documented visits in accordance with applicable court orders and established service policies.

Professional Leadership and Service Foundation

TCA’s supervised visitation model is led by founder Dr. Arkeria S. Wright and informed by more than 20 years of experience in education, child development, parent support, special-needs advocacy, and family-service documentation. Each case is reviewed according to its scope, safety considerations, professional requirements, capacity, and service availability.

• Observational Reporting: Documenting interactions in a factual, objective manner suitable for court review


• Safety & Risk Assessment: Identifying and addressing potential risks to ensure child safety.


• Parent Coordination: Facilitating structured communication between parents to ensure smooth

• Legal Compliance: Ensuring all visitations adhere to court orders and custody agreements.

Supervised Visitation Procedures

1. Pre-Visitation Intake & Assessment: Parent interviews, safety screening, and review of court orders.


2. Visit Scheduling & Logistics: Parent coordination, 2-hr minimum visitation scheduling, Neutral and kid-friendly location selection, visit structure, and compliance enforcement.


3. Conducting the Supervised Visit: Observational monitoring and conflict prevention.


4. Post-Visit Procedures: Incident reporting and legal documentation when necessary.

Documentation & Reporting

• Standard observation checklist and notes: documenting parent interactions, compliance, and   

   safety concerns provided per visit.

•  Detailed observation notes: Parent-child interactions, compliance, and safety concerns 

   (upon request).

• Incident Reports: Filed if major concerns arise during visits.

• Court-Admissible Reports: Objective documentation available upon request.

• Confidentiality & Record-Keeping: Secure storage and limited access per legal requirements.

Professional and Ethical Practices

• Adhering to Applicable Court Orders and Established Service Policies

• Neutrality & Professional Conduct

• Mandatory Reporting of child abuse or neglect

• Continuous Training & Professional Development

Intake Turnaround Time

The standard intake turnaround time for all cases is  5-7 business days. Clients are encouraged to complete their intake process promptly to avoid any delays in scheduling supervised visitations.
