How Supervised Visitation Works

Supervised visitation is more than simply being present during parenting time.

With experienced & professional visitation supervisors, The Children's Advocate, LLC provides professional, child-focused supervision designed to support safe, appropriate, and meaningful interaction between children and their parents while maintaining neutrality, professional boundaries, and objective documentation. The Children's Advocate provides intervention-based professional supervised visitation, monitored supervision, and exchange services for court-involved and voluntarily participating families throughout Metro Atlanta and surrounding areas. See Supervised Visitation Overview.

Families may come to us through a court order, attorney referral, family agreement, reunification process, or other circumstances requiring structured parenting time. Because every family's circumstances are different, all new supervised visitation matters begin with a Case Review Request.

Need Professional Supervised Visitation?

Getting started is simple. Submit your case information below. TCA will review the information provided, confirm service availability, and provide next steps for case activation.

New supervised visitation cases begin with a Case Review Request. Please do not submit payment or complete Case Activation unless instructed to do so by The Children's Advocate, LLC. Submission of a Case Review Request does not guarantee case acceptance, availability, or reservation of a visitation date.

Once all required parties have completed onboarding, applicable fees have been received, and TCA has cleared the case to proceed, visitation scheduling may begin.

Important: Case acceptance and case activation do not guarantee a specific visitation date, time, location, or supervisor. Scheduling is based on case requirements, completed onboarding, and availability.

What Families Should Know

Rooted in Family Support

Our supervised visitation services are structured to support meaningful parent-child interaction while maintaining safety, professional boundaries, neutrality, and compliance with applicable court requirements.

Child-Focused, Intervention-Based Supervision

Our supervisors do more than observe. When appropriate, supervisors may provide redirection or intervention to help maintain boundaries, support appropriate parent-child interactions, and protect the integrity of the visitation experience.

Visit Duration

Supervised visitation is generally scheduled with a two-hour minimum. Longer visits may be accommodated based on the court order, family circumstances, location, and supervisor availability.

Visitation Locations

Visitation Locations

Off-site visits may occur in appropriate community settings that allow families to interact naturally while permitting effective supervision. Locations are reviewed based on the needs of the case, safety, accessibility, and suitability for the child.

In-Home Visitation

Visitation Locations

In-Home Visitation

In-home supervision may be considered after successful off-site visitation and completion of applicable safety and case requirements. Approval is determined individually and is not guaranteed.

The Children's Advocate does not approach supervised visitation as a one-size-fits-all service. We consider the child's developmental needs, applicable court requirements, family circumstances, safety considerations, and the purpose of supervision while maintaining professional neutrality.

Supervised Visitation Fees

Supervised Visitation Fees

Professional supervision requires more than the time spent at the visit. Our fees reflect case coordination, preparation, professional observation, documentation, communication, and the individualized oversight required to support safe and appropriate parenting time.

Off-Site Visitation

Starting at $65/hour

For one child. Additional-child fees may apply.

In-Home Visitation

Starting at $90/hour

Available for qualifying cases after applicable off-site visitation and safety requirements have been completed.

Travel & Service Area

The Children's Advocate provides supervised visitation services throughout Metro Atlanta and surrounding communities. Travel fees may apply based on the approved visitation location and supervisor assignment. Extended-distance cases may require longer visitation minimums or individualized travel arrangements.

Additional Services

Detailed visitation reports, court appearances, expert testimony, extended case coordination, and other specialized services may involve additional fees.

Case Activation

A $75 Case Activation Fee per participating parent/guardian applies to accepted cases and covers individual onboarding, administrative case setup, applicable document review, communication setup, and initial case coordination.

Please Note: Fees vary according to the circumstances and requirements of each case. Court-ordered payment responsibility does not alter The Children's Advocate's service rates or onboarding requirements. All applicable fees and service requirements are reviewed during the activation process.
